**** Das kommt jetzt überraschend ... Empire of the Sun haben gerade ein neues Album veröffentlicht - jetzt kommt auch noch Nick Littlemore's Projekt Pnau zu neuen Single-Ehren ... CHAMELEON klingt doch sehr afrikanisch-elektronisch-groovy ... weniger fürs Radio ...
**** There are few artists in recent memory that I waver on more inexplicably than PNAU, and even within this song I remember I was conflicted misusing your influence. It lacks the uplifting chorus of "The Truth" and the infectious beat of "Baby", and instead has a hook that really grated me whenever I hear it on the radio. The beats are quite nice though which makes it all the more irritating that the rest of it just don't hold up. I think it's catchy enough for me to like it more now, as I've grown to appreciate it more since I first started hearing this on radio. Hardly their finest moment but one that I can get into somewhat. Zuletzt editiert: 29.01.2017 10:11
***** Can't believe I like this as much as I do but I can't get enough of this at the moment! It's just so interesting and incredibly infectious. I'm not sure what it is whether its a beat drop or the verse but whatever it is it's just so enjoyable and I'm absolutely loving this right now.
**** In an era of trop house covers and songs by dance artists that are trying too hard to be radio friendly, Pnau's "Chameleon" truly is a breath of fresh air in the charts. It's hard to think of a dance song as joyful as this that was a big hit in recent times. Sure it's difficult to understand what is even being said most of the time, but why should I care. It sounds fun and I want to sing along anyway. The beats are obviously very good and bouncy, and I adore the sheer joy that I can hear in the vocal performance. Might not be as good as "Embrace" but I'm so pleased that this has become such a big hit, who'd have thought Pnau would achieve that in 2016/2017?
***** Imagine if it came out now as opposed to summer. This is the best thing Pnau have put their name to, great to see it do so well and narrowly missed out on the Top 10 of the Triple J Hottest 100! Zuletzt editiert: 28.08.2017 10:45
***** Very good progressive dance song, probably my favourite since Galantis' No Money. I wasn't entirely sold on the two sections being melded together at first but it quickly grew on me, loving it more and more to the point where I was stanning it big time come Hottest 100 time. So glad it did well both there and in commercial world.
